இந்தியா – தேசிய பாதுகாப்புத் துறை

இந்திய ராணுவத்தில் அக்னிவீர் ஆட்சேர்ப்பு எண்ணிக்கையை ஆண்டுதோறும் 1 லட்சம் வீரர்களாக அதிகரிக்கும் வாய்ப்பை மத்திய அரசு பரிசீலித்து வருகிறது. தற்போது ஆண்டுதோறும் சுமார் 40–50 ஆயிரம் அக்னிவீர் பதவிகள் அறிவிக்கப்படுகின்றன. பாதுகாப்புத்துறையின் மூத்த அதிகாரிகள் அளித்த தகவலின்படி, தேசிய பாதுகாப்புத் தேவைகளை கணக்கில் கொண்டு, எதிர்காலத்தில் ராணுவத்தின் மனிதவளத்தை வலுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் இந்த முடிவு ஆராயப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

அக்னிவீர் திட்டம் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதிலிருந்து ராணுவத்துக்கு அதிகளவில் இளைஞர்கள் முன்வந்து வருவதால், தேர்வு வாய்ப்புகளை அதிகரித்து, படைப்பிரிவுகளின் செயல்திறனை மேம்படுத்தவும் இந்த முன்மொழிவு கொண்டு வரப்பட்டுள்ளது.

India – Defence Sector

The Indian Army is considering increasing the annual Agniveer recruitment strength to 1 lakh soldiers. At present, the Army recruits around 40–50 thousand Agniveers each year. According to senior defence officials, the proposal aims to strengthen manpower and meet the future security requirements of the nation.

Following the launch of the Agniveer scheme, a large number of youth have shown interest in joining the armed forces. To accommodate this rising demand and enhance operational capability, the government is evaluating the possibility of expanding annual intake.
